Died: Oct. 13, 1842 Meriwether County, Georgia
Buried: Tyner Station, Hamilton County, Tennessee
Married: Obedience Biddy Hillard Sevier
Born: 1759 South Carolina
Died: 1848

My oldest Tyner ancestor is THOMAS B. TYNER, born about 1826 in Alabama, died between 1860 and 1870 in Craighead County, Arkansas. He married Melissa Sullins. Their children
were Odelia C., born 1862 in Arkansas and James T., born 1864 in Arkansas. JAMES T. TYNER was my gr-grandfather.

My oldest Tyner, that I can show a paper trail to, is James Tyner of Robeson County NC. Married Emaline Webster, father of Alexander Tyner who married Annie McDougald. I believe James'f father was Benjamin Tyner.

Born about 1830 in Kansas
Married abt 1850 to Lucinda Yale
I’ve only found his name on his son George’s Death certificate.

My oldest Tyner Ancestor is WILLIAM H. TYNER, Sr.
He was born between 1790/1800.
In the 1830 Census he was in McNairy County, Tennessee, age category 30-40 years.
In the 1840 Census he was in Tishomingo County, Mississippi.
He married about 1818 probably, before his first child WILLIAM H. TYNER, Jr., was born about 1819.
He probably died before 1850 because he is not found in any 1850 census.
I come from his son JOHN WILEY TYNER,
He was born 2 Apr 1827 in Benton County, Tennessee.
He married Lucinda Barnes on 8 Dec 1847 in Benton County, Tennessee.
He died 18 Mar 1884 in Fairview, Arkansas.
Our family tradition according to his son, JAMES"JIM" McDONALD TYNER, is that the family came from a Tyner, Tennessee, named after their relatives.

My oldest Tyner ancestor is DEMSEY TYNER (TINER), Revolutionary war Solider.
Born: 4th day of August 1755.
His wife was Obedience.
On the 27th day of November 1832 he personally appeared in open court in Hamilton County, Tennessee, aged seventy seven years.
His Certificate of Pension was issued the 28th day of Sept 1833 (Revolutionary War Pension file in possession of Dennis Ward)
He died the 13th October 1842 in Meriwether County, Georgia.

My oldest Tyner ancestor is RICHARD TYNER.
Born ca 1740
He was in what is now Elbert County, Georgia by about 1775.
Died 1824 Elbert County, Georgia
His will is on file in the Elbert County Courthouse.
There are records on file at the Georgia Dept of Archives on him for this early period, including a 1777 claim for depredation. (RG 4-2-46, Loc 1783-13 Box 241).

Stephen died sometime between 1850 and Oct 10,1860 as per census
His son David is my 2nd great grandfather
